My dear husband likes to keep our vehicles clean. A quality I admire about him. This means taking the cars to “the tunnel of wash”. We were running errands today and he decides to zip through the car wash. We picked out our carwash, decided on air freshener and edged our way in line to go through the carwash. While waiting we noticed a hand written sign that was posted in the window. “NO DEER REMAINS”. Seriously? I guess it is hunting season after all.
It’s morning.
6:30AM
The sun is peeking over the horizon as we drive to Marion. The Iowa sky is some of the prettiest sky I have seen. This morning is no exception. As the sun begins to rise the fields begin to slowly wake. The cows, sheep and horses start to stir. As we pass a farm the lights are on in the kitchen. The farmer is up early to tend to his fields, feed his livestock. In the stillness of the morning you can almost feel the earth sigh as she begins another day.
